Santa Fe Coal Bucket

Santa Fe embossed marked coal bucket. This is the only one I've seen in this style of shape and early lettering. Large embossed script Santa Fe high on the back of this bucket. All the handles are tight. There is still heavy galvanization on the bucket. The bottom has a rust pin hole. The bottom is solid, you could haul a full load of coal with it today. There are numerous small dents from use, they are pushed from the inside out. I've only seen one other Santa Fe marked bucket and it was in smaller letters and positioned on the side. The common style bucket has a different shape and is embossed AT & SF Ry on the base. So there are at least 3 variations. There may be more.
